IMPORTANT: New Temporary Inland Peak Season Surcharge – Port of Algeciras
Due to ongoing congestion and reduced productivity at the Port of Algeciras, major shipping lines and logistics operators are facing significant delays in inland transportation. This is the result of a sharp increase in cargo volume, which has impacted service efficiency and availability.
To maintain service quality and reliability during this period, a temporary Inland Peak Season Surcharge has been implemented for all truck transport to and from the Port of Algeciras.
Surcharge details:
- Name: Inland Peak Season Surcharge (IPE/IPI)
- Effective from: June 18 until further notice (estimated: 3 months)
- Rate:70 EUR / container (applies to all DRY and REEFER containers)
